Moisturisers for Spring and Summer

Hello!

When it comes to skincare I very rarely make a conscious decision to switch up what I use depending on the seasons, I just don't find that I need to! If it's not the central heating drying out my skin, then it's the air conditioning. Us dry skinned girls just can't catch a break! However, although I still long for that moisture and hydration during the summer months, it's lovely if it can be in a slightly lighter form (Oh, and SPF would be lovely too) so here's the moisturisers I'm going to be leaning towards during these warmer days.

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting moisturiser is a blogger favourite and smells absolutely divine, it reminds me of a Terry's Chocolate Orange! It has a cream gel consistency which I think is perfect for thing time of year and although it has a very light texture it keeps the skin really hydrated and creates a lovely health glow. I love how it sinks right in to the skin and doesn't leave any greasy residue on the surface so it doesn't only make a great makeup base but gives the skin a lovely finish on it's own.

Garnier Moisture Match Revitalising Hydrating Gel another of my favourites for the summer months. It's kind of a budget version of the Origins Ginzing, smelling exactly the same, but with a gel consistency. The texture of it feels amazing on the skin when it's warm and sinks right in without leaving that greasy film. It doesn't quite have the same brightening effect as the Origins but it's pretty damn close and for a fraction of the price you can't fault it!

A-Derma Hydralba Light Hydrating Cream UV* is perfect for those days where your skin is feeling a little drier and sensitive. A-Derma make an amazing range of products aimed at those with sensitive skin and this cream is no exception. It sinks in beautifully and gives that much needed hydration, without being too heavy, and really helps to tone down my redness on bad days. They also do a rich version that I think would be great in Winter, but maybe a little too much during the Summer months. Oh, and it also contains SPF 20 so it's perfect for these approaching summer days!

Lastly is the newest addition to my skin care collection and one I wish I'd picked up months ago, The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. It's a truly amazing moisturiser and makes my skin feel like a babies bum. It's amazing. It has a beautiful creamy gel texture that just melts in to the skin as soon as it touches and has an amazing cooling effect. It gives that lovely soothing feel like when you apply after sun to sunburn, it's divine. It really helps to hydrate and smooth out the skin but looks and feels like nothings there. Oh, and it makes an amazing makeup base too! Have I rambled on about this enough?!

What are your skincare picks for summer?
