Style - Casual Monday

Hello!

We've finally had an actual sunny day were it's been pleasant enough to stand outside! I'm so excited for Summer to properly arrive, to not have to layer up, and to were sandals without having chilly toes. Today I went for a lovely drive around Rivington, stopping to look at the view and have a chat with a couple of ponies. The sun was beaming into the car and I even needed to were my sunglasses! It was lovely!

Today was one of those days were I couldn't be bothered over thinking what I was going to were. I just wanted to throw on some comfy clothes and enjoy the sunshine while it lasted! I ended going for a simple tee and jeans, a perfect transitional outfit that isn't too slouchy but is casual enough for a little woodland walk and a coffee.

I've recently been on the hunt for a new pair of jeans, which is always a ridiculous task. Miss Selfridge have rebranded their denim department, and I can no longer find any there that fit me well, so it was onwards and upwards to a different shop. Luckily I didn't have to look too far and found these really comfy pair of skinny jeans from Newlook, washed black in style with a simple ripped knee. For £25 I really can't fault them and I was really impressed with their selection of sizes and lengths. I paired the jeans with a simple Coca-cola tee that I got from Primark a while ago, that also has that vintage washed out style. On my feet I popped on my trusty old Vans that have really served me well. They're great for going on walks were it might be a little muddy as they wash so well. To keep the wind off my arms I grabbed my new faux leather that I got from Miss Selfridge a few weeks ago. I absolutely adore it and the fit is perfect. It's great for pairing with a girly outfit to give it a bit of edgy-ness but also goes great with a simple outfit like this! My last leather from there lasted me three years so I have high hopes for this!

    1. I'm sure you could! I got a nice red from Nars recently, called Heatwave, it's a bit muted so perfect if you're stepping out of your comfort zone!
