January Lush Haul

Hello!

Okay, I have a confession to make! This is my second Lush haul in the space of a few weeks. The boxing day temptations got me and I made a huge post Christmas sale purchase on boxing day. However, as soon as I saw those pretty Lush Valentines goodies popping up here, there and everywhere on Instagram I knew I wouldn't be able to resist. So, yesterday, I nipped in to Lush (and I mean literally nipped. I knew exactly what I want and I was in and out of that shop with a bag full of stuff within 5 minutes!) and purchased some of the pretty bath things I'd had my eye on for a week or so.

First things first I reached for that beautiful Unicorn Horn Bubblebar as I just couldn't resist it. Okayy...I actually got two. The swirl of pretty colours along with the shimmer and stars makes it look like a truly magical product. I adore the lavender scent and with the mix of that and Ylang Ylang I can see it creating a wonderfully calming pre-bed bath. I always think the bubble bars are great value for money as I make them last a good 4/5 baths and this was only £3.25!

The Floating Flower Bath Bomb just had to make it's way in to my basket. It's full of lovely, calming oils such as Ylang Ylang and Jasmine so another great product for soaking the day away. I love bath bombs that make a big song and dance when they hit the water and after seeing various videos of this being used I very much doubt it'll be boring. Have you seen how pretty it makes the bath water?! At £3.50 it's a little more than I would normally spend on one bath but I just couldn't leave it!

The last bath product I got was the Granny Takes a Dip Bathbomb which has been on my little mental wishlist for so long! When I first saw this popping up on blogs I was surprised it wasn't a bubblebar due to it's quirky shape and pattern. It has a very fresh scent which is perfect now that we're moving (hopfully!) towards the warmer seasons. I can't wait to try this out and see what it makes of my bath water. This is another pricier one at £3.35 but we all deserve a treat, right?

The last little product in my haul is The Kiss Lip Scrub which is topped with pretty little sprinkles and smells like it should be eaten! I've used another lip scrub in the past and it did wonders for my lips so I know I won't be disappointed. I know they're relatively easy to make and you can definitely DIY it for less than £5.50 but I just couldn't resist!

Have you got anything from Lush lately?

Review - REN Clearcalm Clarifying Clay Cleanser

Hello!

REN is quite quickly becoming one of my favourite skincare brands for so many reasons. Firstly, because my skin absolutely loves it. It doesn't set off my sensitive skin, break me out and calms my redness. The products I've tried from REN previously have always left my skin feeling clean, nourished and rather happy. Exactly what I want from my skincare products. The second reason why I absolutely love this brand is because, even though it's a higher end brand, it's pretty reasonably priced and easy to get hold of (my local M&S now stocks it!). REN's Clarifying Clay Cleanser is the newest addition to my skincare collection and is a cleanser I'm absolutely in love with. It's part of their Clearcalm range, which although aimed at blemish prone skin, seems to work well with my dry skin too! I picked it up as I heard it's a great deep cleaning cleanser and, with wearing makeup nearly everyday and the harsh winter weather my skin, by skin was looking a little dull, congested and a couple of blemishes were popping up. This cleanser has done wonders to my skin and even though it's a clay cleanser, it's really nourishing on my dry skin. I love it!

REN Clearcalm Clarifying Clay Cleanser

As I've said in previous posts, I love REN's packaging. It's clean, simple and there's so faffing with getting the product out. The pump system means it's easy peasy to get a measured amount of product out even with wet hands. I also love that all there ranges are colour coded so you know what's what. I think it's little touches like this that makes a brand stick out. I also adore the scent of REN's products. I think they're really fresh, earthy and natural and the scent of this cleanser is no exception to that! I know scents aren't the be all and end all of a cleanser but when your rubbing it on your face it's kind of nice when it smells pleasant too!

When using the product I massage one pump (when it comes out it seems like LOADS but it's actually just the right amount for my face and neck) in to dry skin for a good minute or so and always focus more of problem areas. Once washed off my skin always looks so fresh and feels so nourished, It instantly looks less dull and congested. Don't you just love products that show signs of working from the first use! With it being a clay cleanser I was a little worried about it being a bit too harsh and drying on my dry skin but this isn't the case at all. I don't use it every day, as I think this would be too much for my skin, but every other day or when my skin is looking a bit dull seems to do my skin the world of good. It really is such a lovely cleanser and it's definitely going on to the repurchase list, it's definitely become a staple in my skincare routine!
