Style - A Summer Dress in Autumn

Hello!

However much I would love to have a massive collection of clothes, I don't, although my mum may disagree with this! This means that I sometimes have to be a little bit clever with outfits and think of ways that I can alter outfits so I can wear them throughout multiple seasons. I don't want my style posts to portray me in a false light. I don't have so many clothes that I can wear a completely different outfit in each post and I do wear the same clothes again and again! Today I'm showing you a dress I featured in a summer post that I styled to make it suitable to the chilly days we've been seeing lately!

I bought this H&M daisy print sundress back in May or June. It was a bargain at only £10 and creates a lovely look with minimal effort. I don't wear dresses a lot but every time I do it reminds me that they're a really easy way to create an nice outfit without really having to think much. When it starts getting really cold I think this dress will look really nice with a black long sleeve top worn underneath and a nice gold statement necklace! I threw this daisy print dress over the top of some tights (Primark's finest, of course, what's the point in paying a lot for tights that the cat is definitely going to rip?!) to keep the chilly air of my legs. To keep the breeze off my arms I wore my lovely faux leather jacket from Dorothy Perkins, which I purchased last Winter. It's much warmer than my beloved Miss Selfridge one and also came with a fur collar which I'm going to reattach once it gets colder. Heads up, Dorothy Perkins have some really lovely faux leather jackets in at the moment! I finished off the top half of this outfit with my burgundy chunky scarf from Primark. It's really warm and for about £4 you can't complain! I never see the point in spending loads on a scarf so Primark is always my go to place. Shoe wise I decided to give my new F&F boots their first proper outing and oh they're comfy! They look lovely and I always think a nice pair of black boots are a Winter staple. They're currently in stock at Tesco for a bargain price of £20!

What pieces do you wear all year round?
