Review - Garnier Moisture Match Revitalising Hydrating Gel

Hello!

A few weeks ago my beloved Origins Ginzing Moisturiser ran out and unfortunately I didn't have the funds to replace it. It was a moisturiser that I'd been loyal to for a good few months and I hadn't felt the need to try any others. It was perfect in summer, hydrating yet light, yet rich enough to keep that hydration up as the weather got colder. Before using it I didn't really think gel moisturisers suited my skin type but it completely won me over. The gel gave me the hydration I needed but didn't leave a nasty, greasy film which makes me feel like I haven't actually cleansed! Anyway, (enough of my waffling, down to the review) I went on the hunt for a new gel cleanser and came across the Garnier Revitalising Hydrating Gel from their Moisture Match range.

I had really taken much notice of this range but the Hydrating Gel is amazing value for money. It was actually on offer at the time and cost about £2! A little goes a really long way so you don't use much at a time, I can see this lasting me quite a while! The packaging is really nice and simple. The product comes out easily and it's quite compact so great for traveling with or even throwing in your handbag! The scent is light and barely there, but you can detect a slight zesty orangeness about it which I really like.

I've been using this moisturising gel as my daytime moisturiser and it makes the most perfect base for foundation. I only use a couple of pea sized blobs to cover my entire face and neck (although I do have a child sized head, aha). Although it absorbs really quickly it stills leaves your skin feeling hydrated and super soft. One thing I love about this product is how hydrating it is without giving your skin that horrible greasy feel that you get from some moisturisers. Also, despite being really hydrating, it leaves you with a nice velvet-like matte finish, which I really like for those no makeup days. The Garnier Moisture Match Revitalising Hydrating Gel makes a really lovely makeup base, which foundation really clings to. It doesn't make my foundation look cakey and really helps to prevent those pesky dry patches that I never seem to go the colder months without! For the just £5.99 is really is a lovely moisturiser that I'll definitely buy again!
