Review - No.7 Instant Radiance Highlighter

Hello!

Is this not one of the prettiest drugstore highlighters you've seen in a while?! When I first heard about the release of the new No. 7 Blush, Highlighter and Bronzer sticks I knew I had to check them out and was immediately drawn to the Instant Radiance Highlighter. The pearlescent finish, micro-shimmer and natural nude/pink tone had me sucked in. Highlighters were a product that my makeup collection was really lacking and having never really tried cream highlighters or blushes I went on a Boots mission to go and purchase it. I actually had to go to Boots a few times before I found one that had it in stock and I used a cheeky little No. 7 voucher so it only cost me a few pounds.

The highlight comes in a chunky little stick and can be drawn up by twisting the silver area on the end of the stick. The packaging is really lovely and I think it gives it a much more expensive feel. From the chrome coloured lid to the delicate chrome font on the side of the product, it all looks very luxurious. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's a sucker for pretty packaging! Another thing I love about the packaging is how much the pinky colour of it matches the actual product. I know it's a funny thing to point out but it very rarely happens!

The formula of the product is really lovely and creamy. I used it both by drawing it straight on to the skin and my applying it with my finger, but it works well both ways! It blends in so beautifully and all harsh lines just disappear away, leaving a lovely natural looking glow to the skin. I've been using it combined with powder blushes and bronzers, as that's all I have, and it's worked really well with them. I really like how the product leaves a really natural looking glow that's definitely there but still subtle. If you're worried about highlighters leaving you looking like a disco ball then I would recommend trying this one out! You have full control over how much you apply and it's the perfect shade for pale and dark skintones alike!

If this product isn't sold out you can find it in Boots for just £9.95 which I think is pretty reasonable!
