The Skincare Series - The Masks

Hello!

Following on from my previous 'The Skincare Series' posts I'm today going to talk to you about the products I use outside of my normal daily skincare routine. I'm sure I'm not the only girl who loves a good pamper evening with a nice warm bubble bath and a face mask. Face masks used to be a product that I would only use every so often as a little treat to myself, but I've come to learn how important they are in my skincare routine. I now use them at least a couple of times a week and rotate between a couple of different ones depending on what my skin is calling out for. At the moment I currently have three that I regularly use but I do sometimes treat myself to Lush face masks which I really love. I have dry/sensitive skin with pretty bad redness so my face mask choices are pretty focused around this, but I also have my go to one for bad skin days!

Good Things Five Minute Facial

Origins Clear Improvement Mask

Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Mask

The mask I use most regularly is the Good Things Five Minute Facial which smells absolutely amazing! It smells super fruity and is really awakening. I normally use this at least once a week to brighten my skin and keep it looking fresh and awake. Although it's a drying, clay type mask it doesn't dry the skin out at all which is something I really love about it. The formula of the product feels really hydrating when you're applying it, and my skin always feels really hydrated after I have removed the mask. The Good Things Five Minute Facial is a really good all round mask for any skin type and if you're looking for an affordable mask this one is ideal.

The Origins Clear Improvement Mask is a blogger favourite and widely talked about in the blogger community. I actually bought this in the 50ml rather than the 100ml as for some reason it works out cheaper! This is my go to mask for when my skin is acting up with breakouts or looking a little dull. I really find that it lifts out all the yuk from my skin and it always looks so much brighter afterwards. I really love it for calming down blemishes too and they're much more reduced after using this mask. The only down side to it is that it dries really dry and I find it feels really tight on the skin as it dries. It can suck out the moisture from my skin a little too so I've started following it up with a moisturising mask which has really made a difference.

The Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask is the newest mask in my routine. I bought it following a cold as my skin had gone super dry and wish I'd bought it sooner. I use this to follow my Origins mask and whenever my skin is looking a little dry or dehydrated to give it some moisture and plump it up. I really love the Super Facialist brand and they have a few products that are very similar to that of Origins, only for a smaller price. I'm going to talk more about this mask in a full review but it's really lovely for adding moisture to the skin and is now a staple mask in my routine!

What masks do you use reguarly?
