Outside the Blog Photography #1

Hello!

You may or may not know that I've had a keen interest in photography for a long time and own more cameras that one person could ever possible need! I got my D-SLR long before I started blogging and have been a hobbyist photographer for some time now. However, you very rarely get to see my non blog related images and I've decided to start a new series on my blog 'Outside the Blog Photography' to give you all a chance to have a browse at them. I thought it would all give you a chance to get to know me a little better and although we all share one hobby, I'm sure many of us have other hobbies outside of blogging and this gives you a chance to see mine. I really love wildlife photography (mainly birds!) and capturing their natural behaviours but I will try and mix in a bit of everything. If you enjoy this series please comment below and I will make the posts as frequent as possible.

The photos I'm sharing with you today are from a trip to Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. The site is split in to two sections, the first the kind of in a zoo style with wildfowl from all over the world. Some are in fenced areas but some are free roaming and incredible friendly! My favourites are the Hawaiian geese as they actually come up to you asking for feed. The second section is a widlife section full of all sorts of native wildlife. It consists of hides for photographers and birdwatchers that over look fields, ponds and a mere.

Please let me know if you enjoy these types of posts!

  1. I've only ever been to Martin Mere once, and I really need to go back! It's less than an hour away from where I live back home... Some lovely photos you've got!

  2. I'm a keen photographer too, it's an obsession. I mostly do fashion and portrait stuff but I've never done wildlife, so it's interesting to look at for me because I know nothing about it lol. I love looking at other people's photography in general, so this post gets a thumbs up from me! Following you on bloglovin xx
