Review - Bourjois Delice de Pourde Bronzing Powder

Hello!

If I'd been asked this time last year how many bronzers I owned the grand total would have been zero. Being pale skinned I was mighty scared of them and no matter how many times I swatched them in shops I could never understand how they would work with my skin tone. Ask me how many I have now and well, lets just say, more than I could possible need! I've been completely converted and now my makeup doesn't feel complete without a touch of bronzer.

The newest addition to my bronzer collection is the Bourjois Delice de Pourde, a popular bronzer amongst bloggers and beauty enthusiasts alike. Being pale skinned I went for the lightest shade, 51, and it is a pretty perfect match. The bronzer comes in toughened cardboard packaging and has a pretty little chocolate bar-esque design. Oh, I must mention that it also has the most divine chocolate scent so is a must for all you chocolate lovers!

The bronzer itself has a very slight shimmer to it, which really isn't noticeable once it's on the skin. For a bronzed up look the bronzer can be applied to all high points of the face and adds a lovely healthy glow to the face but the shimmer is so minimal that the bronzer is still perfect for contouring too. I have found that the bronzer looks ever so slightly red toned on my skin however, as I dye my hair a red toned brown I find this suits me really well and helps it to look more natural. Bourjois Delice de Pourde bronzer applies really lightly but is easily build-able depending on what look you are going for. I usually add a light dusting over the high points of my face and then build up under my cheek bones for a contoured look and have really been enjoying using it this way. For getting that natural contoured look I've been using it with the Real Techniques blush brush as it's super fluffy and blends it out amazingly well. Another thing I love about this bronzer is how well it lasts on the face. I'm not a huge fan of touching up makeup throughout the day and with this bronzer you really don't have to worrying about touching it up - it lasts amazingly well!

I can't believe I waited so long to try this bronzer (or bronzer in general for that matter) and for the tiny price of £6.99 I couldn't really ask for more!
