Dinner at Wagamamas

Hello!

Last night I went to a Manchester bloggers meetup hosted by Georgie and it was absolutely fab! Before the event I met up with Fran, Rachael and Rachael and we had a little bloggers dinner at Wagamamas. I've decided to post about the food and event separately so watch out for the event post in a few days!

This was my first ever time at Wagamamas so naturally I scouted out the menu a few days before hand to see what caught my eye. Being vegetarian I sometimes find that restaurants can be a bit limited when it comes to their range of vegetarian options but this wasn't the case at all! Pretty much every dish they served had a tofu or vegetable option which was lovely! The restaurant was set out in a way that very much reminded me of lunch time at primary school, with rows of tables and benches! We were given the option to sit wherever we fancied which was nice and then given time to choose from the menu. The staff probably thought we were completely antisocial because in typical blogger style we all started taking photos before even looking at the menu, haha! Eventually we all managed to decide on what we wanted to eat and I chose the Yasai Pad Thai which is an egg fried noddle dish with vegetables and tofu. The tofu is fried which makes it really crispy. I also decided to order a side of Miso Soup as I was really curious about and soo glad I did! We were told that as they make each dish fresh to order they might come out the kitchen at different times. This isn't something I'd ever experienced before but it just adds to the quality of the food and there wasn't a great deal of waiting between each arriving.

The food was absolutely delicious! It tasted so fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. I really loved that the vegetables were left a little crispy as it added great texture to the dish. The tofu was crisp but not really oily which I've found it has been from other restaurants. The plate was also piled high and however much I wanted to finished it I physically could not do it. I'm definitely going to be returning in the near future as there is so many things on the menu that I want to try!

Have you been to Wagamamas before? What is your favourite dish?
