How much is my face worth?

Hello!

I must admit I was a bit hesitant about doing this tag as most of the posts I saw featured high end makeup brands and totals in the range of £100 - £200! I always stick to 'drugstore' brands and I honestly can't afford  or justify spending huge amounts on makeup. Anyway, after seeing a couple of posts featuring 'drugstore' brands I decided to give it a go.

I haven't included what I moisturize my face with prior to applying my makeup purely because it's a prescription cream for my eczema.

Face...

Revon Colorstay in Buff (Dry/Normal Skin) - £12.45
Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer - £5.99
Elf Clarifying Pressed Powder in Rosy Beige - £1.50

Total for Face - £19.94

Eyes...

Bourjois Coup De Theatre Mascara - £9.49
Bourjois Smokey Eyes Eye Shadow - £7.99

Total for Eyes - £17.48

Lips...

Blistex Intensive Moisturiser Lip Cream - £2.59
MUA Lipstick - £1

Total for Lips - £3.59

Overall Total - £41.01!!

I'm actually really impressed by that. Although I don't use high end brands I do tend to choose the more expensive 'drugstore' products, which made me think it would be slightly more than this. Of course, I do change product from time to time and on some days I might wear a different lipstick or eye shadow which would waver the price. I suppose the makeup I would wear on a night out would probably push it into the £50-60 mark as well.

The review for the MUA lipstick can be seen here.

What do you think of this price? How much is your face worth?

  1. This is fantastic! I thought mine would be pretty cheap and it came to almost £200 =| I have a lot of Benefit stuff on mine! Thankfully most of them have been in gift sets so I haven't actually spent the full price mainly...ouch though! I'm impressed with yours a lot :) mines at http://laurasbeautyheaven.blogspot.com/2012/09/tag-how-much-is-your-face-worth.html

    1. Thanks :) I'm considering trying a high end foundation soon but it still wouldn't be pushed above £100!
